These terms govern your use of CatLingo, published by Hugo Software. By installing or using the app you agree to them.
What CatLingo is — and what it is not
CatLingo measures the sound your cat makes and names the intent profile it is closest to, with a confidence percentage.
CatLingo is for entertainment only.
- It is not a translator. There is no cat language, and the app does not claim to translate one.
- It is not a diagnostic tool and not veterinary advice. A result is a statistical guess about a sound, nothing more.
- If you are worried about your cat's health or behaviour, see a veterinarian. Do not use this app to make decisions about your animal's care.
You accept that results may be wrong, and that you use them at your own risk.
Subscription — CatLingo PRO
The free version of CatLingo lets you take 5 microphone readings a day, keeps the last 3 readings visible in the journal, and supports one cat profile.
CatLingo PRO is an auto-renewing weekly subscription that unlocks unlimited readings, the full journal, the mood chart, multiple cat profiles and the per-cat learned model.
- Free trial: 3 days. You are not charged during the trial.
- After the trial the subscription renews automatically every week at the price shown in the app, in your local currency, until you cancel.
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account when the trial ends and at each renewal.
- Cancelling: open Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → CatLingo and cancel. To avoid being charged you must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends. Cancelling stops future renewals; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. You must cancel it in Google Play.
All payments are processed by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy; we cannot issue refunds ourselves, though we will help where we can.
Prices may change. If a price changes, Google will notify you and ask for your consent before the new price is charged; you can cancel instead.
Your device, your data
CatLingo stores your readings, cat profiles and settings on your device only. We have no copy and cannot restore them for you. If you delete the app data, uninstall the app, or lose the device, the history is gone.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, resell or redistribute the app, and do not use it in any way that breaks the law. The app, its interface, its text and its images are owned by Hugo Software and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use.
Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue the app or any of its features. We try to give notice where it matters, but the app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
